At Meols Cop High School we are dedicated to high impact inclusive education. We encourage and raise the aspirations of the students, and give each child the opportunities, experiences and academic qualifications that truly 'Broker Aspirations'. As part of our on-going commitment to the academically most able, we have developed an exciting scholars programme for a select number of students from each year group. We are delighted to invite your child to be involved.
The Scholars Programme aims to provide a stimulating and challenging learning environment for the most able students through seminars, clubs, trips, masterclasses, and external programmes. Through broadening students’ cultural capital and aiding the development of their academic ability, we aim to support these high attaining students to recognise and reach their full potential in at Key Stage 3 and thus help prepare them to succeed as they move into Key Stage 4 and beyond.
We aim to prepare our Scholars for continuingtheir academic excellence through to University, including Russell Group and Oxbridge Universities.
Our Scholars at Meols Cop will experience opportunities beyond the existing broad and
balanced curriculum and will experience an accelerated pace to learning beyond KS3 and KS4 to fully prepare and equip them for University and professional careers beyond.
