Return From Half Term
22 February 2021 (by Stephen Walsh (walsh-s))
I am writing to you today to thank you for your support over the last Half Term.
Going into lockdown took us all by surprise and our plans changed very quickly meaning we all had to adapt to work through the latest challenges.
Our students adjusted quickly and where quickly able to access the Remote Learning we put in place. We took on the logistical challenges of increasing the numbers of devices we could provide and teachers moved their lessons to our online Teams platform for students to access. The commitment of our parents and carers have been central to the success of Remote Learning and it has been through working together in true partnership that has allowed for support and progress to keep moving forward.
It is essential that students get back into the positive learning routines that they have shown during the first half term from Monday 22nd February. ASPIRE time will start at 8:50 and we are looking forward to seeing all students and sharing with them some key messages for the coming weeks.
We know that nothing compares to students being in classrooms with teachers and we are all hopeful that in the coming days a clear ‘Roadmap’ will be presented by the Government as to how we will move out of lockdown and importantly when and how we will be able to welcome more students can return to school. When this announcement comes, we will be contact to share our plans.
Again, many thanks for the continued support.
