Visit from Jenna Downing

Meols Cop High School were delighted to begin Olympic year with a visit from Jenna Downing, the world's number one female inline skater and ten times British champion. Jenna is a mentor for Sky Sports Living for Sport and her visit and subsequent project work will support the school's philosophy of helping young people to achieve their dreams and aspirations. Six lucky students will work with the inspirational Jenna to develop their own leadership skills and be ready to explore and develop the potential in other students. They will have to challenge themselves in new situations and volunteer for new activities and practice new skills. Gareth Cross the subject leader for PE in the school, commented that, "this is a wonderful opportunity for our students to work with an internationally renowned sportsperson and to self-analyse and expand their own skills and qualities"
